    Montell Griffin = PUNK *****!

He claims his wins over James Toney & Roy Jones Jr. make him a great fighter, but everyone knows those wins were pure bull****, anyone agree?

I haven't seen the fight with Toney yet but the fight with Jones was a DQ win. Griffin was well on his way to an ass whoopin' had Roy not hit him while he was down...that's not to say the fight wasn't competitive...but to brag about that win is silly.

he was frustrating roy but roy was still winning.

i guess not losing badly to roy was a compliment back in roy's prime. don't know about claiming a victory aside from a moral one.

griffin doesn't even deserve to be even mentioned with james and roy.

Griffin deserves credit for giving problems to both. Jones and Toney are greater than he is, obviously, but a 5'7 guy without nearly as much talent gave both trouble with his boxing skill and unorthodox style.

I agree, he deserves a lot of credit for giving them both a lot of trouble, he was the only fighter that I can remember that frustrated Jones in his prime and the first Toney fight was close, the second one was a clear Toney victory though IMO, he was a very good fighter in his prime but not great.

A guy I know pretty well here in Chicago is good friends with Montell.
He's a good guy who's fought everyone. Didn't always win but considering how small he is, he had a fine career.
