Vanes has been with Shields for his last couple fights, that why hes been training in Houston.

Roach isn't training Vanes anymore what happened?

no hard feelings or nothin... 2 things really...

1) Vanes needed to get away from LA and Glendale to better focus on boxing... too much distraction for him because of his fame in the Armenian community.

2) Freddie Roach was at the time (late 2007) too busy with big name boxers to give Vanes the kind of attention he needed, when you got names like DLH, Hopkins, Pacman.. its hard to put in the needed time on a young prospect.
