i never liked this fight to begin with,we will see hopkings holding all night,,,i think this fight does nothing for pavliks career,i mean hopkins is old,he just lost to calzaghe,if pavlik wins,which he should,i don't give him much credit for beating an old hopkins,i look at it as a tune up,he will get more credit for beating arthur,even calzaghe at 36 is better than hopkins

Joe and Abraham are no names over in the US. Neither has ever sniffed a PPV. If they were fighting today, Pavlik vs Calzaghe would be on regular HBO as neither is a PPV draw in the least. This fight makes dollars and sense. Calzaghe is doing the same by fighting Roy. The winners of these two fights will fight. And one of the losers will fight the Dawson/Tarver winner. Thats how the fight game goes.

At least, it will be closer to the second fight with Taylor, I think. Bernard may even be more evasive. Doubt there will be a KO, either way.

7 or 8 years ago I could see Hopkins taking Kelly to school pretty good. At this point, hes so far past his prime that its getting frustrating for his biggest fans.
Pavlik UD. Hopkins just doesnt have enough steam to throw the punches he needs to win big fights anymore. Still has great defense and dirty tactics, but its just not enough.

I think I'd want to see Roy vs Bernard rematch. I think the loss isn't sitting well with him Pavlik vs Tarver would be a nice fight as well I think. Two straight up punchers.
