Yes, Ray Austin was mandatory because of Don King politics, while Thompson and Povetkin earned their right to fight Wlad.

I just hope this doesn't do to Povetkin what a loss did to Miguel Cotto. He's young, and has a potentially bright future in the HW division after the old giants retire. Even if Wlad creams him, it shouldn't take that way from him.

Cotto is young, and has a bright future; the potential to be an all-time great. One loss, and nobody wants to talk about him anymore.

The fans are killing boxing, it's not the fighters. We shouldn't expect perfection from them. When Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Lewis, Louis, Robinson, Leonard, etc., lost their fights, we didn't diminish their greatness, because it's always possible to bounce back.
