Wladimir Klitschko-Alexander Povetkin: Come Hell or…

By Cliff Rold - Fight fans hoping for the real chops of a World Heavyweight championship showdown could finally have their wish fulfilled. The best Heavyweight in the world versus the brightest rising star? It might be just what the division needs.

Good that Wlad is fighting three times this year.

One unification fight and two mandatories in a year - that's damn good! But still his haters criticize.

Really looking foward to this fight the 1# guy in Klitschko vs the young hunry lion in Povetkin. Also interesting both gold medalists. Povetkin a great come foward pressure fighter, and Klitschko has a great offence in shooting a very effective jab and also is powerfull in either hand. For me Wlad Ud or maybe late tko.

Tunney: Two QUALIFIED mandatories is what makes it good; this is no Ray Austin BS.

I couldn't agree more with this. HW fans have waited a long time for Wladimir Klitschko to fight an opponent that will challenge him and should be as entertaining. Povetkin is a scrappy young and hungry fighter who has nothing to lose and will hopefully will hold back nothing in his quest to dethrone Klitschko. This has all the makings of a great hw battle!...

However, fans of the hw mediocrity, don't want to see this happen and probably would like rather to watch a Valuev-Ruiz borefest trilogoy. Here's a quote from one of said fans:

This will be an entertaining fight until the KO. Even though Sasha has a good chin, he will eventually hit the canvas.

I have seen nothing in Povetkin that suggests to me that he is anything except a little overhyped..

Povey can punch.. and I guess that is his only hope.. Stylisticly speaking, Wlad will cream him..

Mandatory is mandatory. And Wladimir Klitschko did not chose them like Don King did for his fighters. Wladimir had not promoter so he had no influence of the rankings. He did not work with King but he had to fight his mandatory against a King Fighter, Ray Austin, and he puts him awaye. This is not Wlads false.

He is a great Champion, he is ducking nobody, making the mandatory, unifies.
