the knockdowns/knockout of shufford were amazing.

he knocked shuffords guard completely down with his left coming down in a hammer motion, then followed through with a beautiful right.

also wlads left is a magical punch, both his hook and his jab.

Yes, really. I enjoyed the fight, especially the KO of a fighter who had never been knocked down before.

So did I, I don't think it was anywhere near as bad as some say it was. The KO wasn't the best KO ever, but Thompson had never even been down before so..

Wlad vs. Brewster 1 is actually the one of the most exciting Heavyweight fights in a long long time.

his fight with Mercer was exciting too, and his fight against Thompson was his best and toughest fight since he fought Sam Peter

and I think I read somewhere that Thompson actually had been down before against Chester hughes, but came back to stop him in the first round. Never seen it tho.

Klitschko-Brewster was enertaining and Brewster's fight with Lyakhovich. You see Brewster has been greatly missed since he lost the WBO title. Dude was one of the most enertaining fighters and when he got out of the game I haven't seen any good title fights. Maybe Thompson vs. Klitschko was a little enertaining but c'mon it's been two years. 07 and 08 don't have **** to show for the heavyweights.

i agree. both brewster fights were exciting but the first one was a slug fest. how can you not like a back and forth fight like that. i love to see a guy sc**** himself off of the canvas and come back and knock the other man out. what heart!

yea, the heavyweights have been really boring for a long time. Brewster may have been limited...I mean, he was getting outboxed bad by Krasniqi before he pulled a Wlad on him and struggled with Kali Meehan, of all people...but he usually put up a great fight and always had a ton of heart. I doubt he'll be able to do that anymore though.

nice guy, too. always liked Brewster
