I found this article on yahoo on how to improve the alphabet boys from screwing the fans out of great fights.
"Rank other organizations' champions: Currently, all four bodies use the same rule, that if a fighter holds a belt in another organization, he isn't ranked in theirs. The only exception is when a fighter wins a unification bout and holds two or more of the alphabet belts. It's ridiculous, isn't it, that Manny Pacquiao isn't ranked at lightweight by either the WBA, WBO or IBF when he's the pound-for-pound king in most rankings (Yahoo! Sports, ESPN.com, Ring Magazine)? For any organization’s rankings to mean anything, they have to rank all the fighters in a given class, even if they wear belts from other sanctioning groups"
I think champions unifying and in some case being forced to unify because another champ is their mandatory is a great way to clean up divisions. Thoughts?
