OMG i'm almost ashamed for being an Haye fan... 47 years of age. Think he was KOed by KIMBO in an mma bout in 07 and he's just a joke... This guy makes Tony Thompson look good in comparison What the **** Haye, can't you find someone else???? A ranked guy at least. Even if he's not a Olympic champion and has a not so good record, its ok for a first fight at the weight.... Not a grandpa though!

Who can Haye fight? be realistic this is his first fight. He needs to be tested but not against contenders yet. I'd say first a journeyman and go from there. Who is there other than Mercer?

There's lots of good heavyweights - Thompson, Chambers, Barrett, Tua, Arreola, S. Ibragimov - and some decent ones, like Brewster, Walker, Johnson, Ahunyana, T. Ibragimov, etc.

But, Haye won't fight a top 50 heavyweight, let alone a top 10. He wants Chapman or Mercer, both ranked between 100-150 by BoxRec.

When I read this I was disgusted. Haye is a coward and a joke. Mercer? I saw that Kimbo fight and he looked like a deer in the headlights. This guy is at least 15 years past his prime. I wish he'd fight Arreola so he can hurry up and get knocked out already. In fact I think he loses to Johnson, Chambers, Toney, and Brewster too. How can this guy go on and on about facing Klitschko. Maybe Vlad should have agreed to the fight and KO'ed Haye in 2.

Sources close to the Haye camp, as well as “The Hayemaker’s” promoter, have both stated that they like the fight with the “Merciless” one. However, the only stumbling block for Haye is that Mercer is not rated by the WBO, and Haye’s UK TV contract stipulates that he must fight a ranked opponent. [details]

YIKES. Mercer??? If the WBO goes through with this, I'm off the Haye bandwagon. I might be off anyway, since he's gone from talking about fighting Rahman and Toney to Kevin Johnson, J.D. Chapman and Ron Mercer...
