  • JD Chapman's Promoter Talks on The David Haye Fallout

The David Haye "heavyweight re-debut saga" continues. Last night we reported that after a breakdown in negotiations with Kevin "Kingpin" Johnson (27-0-1, 7KOs), Haye's team began to focus on untested prospect JD Chapman (29-0, 26KOs). Not long after our first report, we posted a second report that Chapman had turned down the fight and the new frontrunner was Eddie Chambers (31-1, 17KOs). [details]

Hilarious, Haye offers the biggest purse to the easiest opponent and lowballs the legit fighters.

Hopefully Chambers will end up being the opponent for Haye.

It's a legit fight that people shouldn't criticize as they have criticized potential fights with Maskaev, Toney, Rahman, Johnson and Chapman.

Chambers would be a good fight and it would meet the requirements that David Haye himself set for his 1st opponent.

I can't get over the fact that JD Chapman was offered the biggest purse despite being the worst fighter by far.

Saying a blanket statement like you did about American heavyweight fighters is totally wrong. There was a time when they ruled the division with an iron fist. The talent is thin at the moment, but that does'nt mean they are all fat and lazy, etc..... That would be like saying all British heavies are one hit wonders like Danny Williams, and incinuating that Haye will be a flash in the pan as well.

Haye needs to get some balls and fight Lamon Brewster. Hahahahaha, I bet he don't want none of him. Haye has not even muttered Brewsters name in fear that his presence alone would test his chin. LOL
