Yes, he did all of this to create attention for himself for the few fight he will have before leaving the sport and on to whatever else he is going to do.

He never intended to fight Wlad I think and just expected Wlad to stay quite but he has uncharacteristically gotten aggressive and Haye is unsure what to do because he looks bad but didn't want to fight in the 1st place really.
