Despite the rumors going around in Puerto Rico, Paul Williams has no plans to vacate the WBO welterweight title. There was some talk that Williams would vacate the title as he moves up in weight on September 25 against Andy Kolle at 160-pounds, but promoter Dan Goossen says the rumors are not true and Williams is looking to defend his WBO title on November 29 on HBO. Although its a rumor it seems more legit that if a fighter moved out of his weight class he would vacate, unlike Margarito having to vacate to face Cotto which was rediculous. Just sayin.

The other thing is I dont think anyone cares about Williams because there is no excitement around him since he isnt doing anything in the division, he just won back his title and now wants to face a guy he already beat. I dont think he knows what to do, just seems like he wants to get that one big PPV.
He and Margo are at different stages of their careers.

Everyone is ducking Paul at WW.. Now who can you fight if Cotto, Mosley and Margarito himself are ducking him?.. Paul never begged for Oscar's cash.. Pavlik is a prime fighter and look at who's Margarito is calling out.. Mosley judah and De La Hoya.

Yes people were/are avoiding Williams but Margarito is the one who manned up and gave him a title shot. Which is why Williams now has Margartos cursed old belt that no one will fight for

It is very clear that Williams is the most feared boxer now in his division.Even margarito knows that he will not win,because of his style tailored made for williams.I still believe that margarito can beat williams if he will correct those errors in his first fight ..To Miguel Cotto..my advise is, dont be tempted to fight williams..this will be another mistake..I rather see him fight again margarito in a rematch after he beat Cintron...This rematch will be important for him..I see him winning...JULY TO AUGUST will be the rematch.!!!
