    Wlad/Ibragimov almost ended my relationship!

True story. It was Saturday night, the girlfriend and i were visiting my family. I wasnt all that interested in watching the fight, but as the night went on, and i knocked back a few beers with a few of my uncles & cousins, i said "ah what the hell, i'll leave after the fight".

Let me first tell u that my girlfriend is as much of a diehard boxing fan as i am. She's never been interested in the HW bouts due to thier lack of excitement, but i convinced her that this fight would be good. She reluctantly gave in, and sat down with us to watch the fight. Round 1, 2, 3, 4..... She tells me "whats with that big guy, he has all those muscles and size advantage, and all he's doing is slapping the other guys hand down" I myself was bored to death after a few rounds, but tried convincing herself, and i that something big was bound to happen. As the rounds went on, with no action, she started becoming aggitated, and nudging me to lets go. I said that we've already sat through this much, lets atleast see if he knocks the guy out. For what was that. Come the end of the 12, she gave me this look and said "this is what the **** u wanted to stay for" LOL. Me feeling a bit nice from the drinks, lashed back at her, and we went back and forth for a while. She did not talk to me the whole ride home, and for the majority of the next day.

When all was said and done, i thought to myself, "God damn, this fight was soo ****ing bad/boring that it almost ended my relationship" LOL.

i found that fight to be rather boring myself but i too, watied until the end to see if a knockout would come. i did not make a loved one sit through it otherwise i might have been in the same boat so to speak.

I changed the channel half way thru the fight. I regret that I didn't do it sooner.

You saying you have a girlfriend, and spelling their, "thier" kind of killed my belief about your story. Before when you told this story, you said you had a guy friend, and that he was arguing with you about the boringness of the Cotto-Urkal fight. Which is it?
