The Golden Boy: Purely in the Ring

I know that the vast majority of true fight fans detest ODLH's money-hungry, mildly corrupt and ultimately selfish promotional philosophy, but purely as a fighter - a man in the ring - what do you think of his skills and his talent?

he's lost a step and has to call up flyweights to make fights.

As a boxer in his prime, Oscar was an excellent fighter…he had good size, tremendous skill and an elite Olympic pedigree..he was fundamentally sound…many tend to overlook that earlier in his career, he had been dropped by lesser fighters yet he was able to adjust and tighten up his defense…he was a smart fighter…

This fight fan wont tag him as an ATG since you can’t have a losing record in premier fights but he was a damn good boxer who could hold his own against anyone

It was difficult for me to be completely objective in my assessment of Oscar…I almost squeezed a nugget out of my ******* trying to type that

I think he was great a few years ago and still very good.I think the money gets in the way with him more now.But he is one of my all time favorites.I think he worries more about $$$$ nowadays....

Oscar's fight with Mosley toe to toe earned him my respect. But I hate him before when he's running against Tito
