    Urban Legend or Truth?!?!

Does having sex before a fight hinder your performance?

This is something i've been wondering about for quite a while and a recent thread triggered the thought. I box myself and have had sex before fights and it doesn't seem to faze me......I actually try not to let a lot of the myths in boxing get to me.

But what do you guys think? I'm sure we have some boxers on here who might attest to this and if Iceman could throw his 2 cents in that'd be great.

    Urban Legend or Truth?!?

Some show did an experiment with Chris Byrd. He did tests after no sex, then had sex and did the tests again. The results were the same, and he did better at 1 or 2 of them.

    So, I say it's a myth.

It's an urban myth. I read a study on the subject and sex has no prysical impact.

Not having sex may have a psycological impact though. But that would be individual.

Oh, also Ricky and Matthew Hattons girlfriends said they have had sex the nights before fights (With Ricky and Matthew respectfully, not each other before any smart ass says anything) and it has not effected their performance.

I only know that because in the build up to the Hatton-Lazcano fight there was a countdown show and in it some guy asked the 2 girls about it

I found that out, I'll let you ask the Klitschkos Good luck Bat!
