How does this make Floyd Sr. look?

Let me start of by saying that Floyd Sr is one of the best trainers in the game, but did that fact that Guzman didnt make weight on Saturday make Floyd Sr look bad? He claims he is the best trainer of all time, and there could be an argument for that, but what does this say about him now that one of his fighters came in almost 4lbs overweight for the weigh-in? Was it a ploy to just avoid the fight all together? Your thoughts.

Secondly, did his stock as a trainer go down, and should he be held responsible for Guzman's actions?

No Sr. shouldn't be held responsible for Guzman's actions. Guzman is a grown ass man he knew way before the weigh-in that he was overweight so he should get plenty of blame too. I really think Guzman did it to avoid the fight.

I think more blame should go to Guzman's nutritionist and Guzman himself than Mayweather Sr.

Nah, I don't think so. True, he should have seen that Guzman was over. But, isn't it Joans responcibilty to check his weight?

It's his career, it's his body.

A trainer has some liability for his fighter makin weight, but not entirely. That should be on the fighter himself and/or his conditioning coach.
