Campbell better enjoy his time as the belt holder. If he fights anyone of the top lightweights he loses and goes back to where he started, nowhere. The only reason he beat Diaz is cuz Juan can't hit for ****. JMM lays him out. Manny would near kill him. Guzman would box circles around him. Humberto Soto would brutalize him. Edwin Valero or Breidis Prescott, murder.
Nate Campbell is SO overrated it's ridiculous!

Eh? Campbell is a very good fighter. He was only knocked out by Peden once as well, which was pure ******ity on his part when he dropped his hands for whatever reason and invited Peden to hit him, which he did and knocked him out. This guy has lost 5 times, got KTFO twice by featherfisted Robbie Peden and has losses to unknowns, Isaac Hlatsway and Francisco Lorenzo. Who the hell are they? Everyone jumped on the Campbell bandwagon after his win over Juan Diaz. Truth be known, that was not Juan Diaz at his best. Nate is a champion on borrowed time. He's lucky his fight fell through this weekend. If Guzman did not get sick Nate would be beltless today. If he fights JMM he gets KTFO again.
The second fight was not a KO. It was a TKO on cuts. Lorenzo is not a bad fighter and don't forget that Nate started fighting and training very late. He's quite possibly only coming into his best fighting now...Well, he's in his best fighting now.
The cut didn't beat Diaz. Whether it did nor not though doesn't matter because the cut was not caused by a head butt. It was caused by a left hand sort of uppercut/hook. Very, very pain to see. It was a punch that busted Diaz up so....
Campbell simply out-fought Diaz. There is no two ways about it.Comment

Saoul Mamby comes more to mind. I don't get this thread though. You just have to see who Campbell has beaten and how he has done it to know that he is a good fighter. Two losses to Peden? So what? You don't have to be undefeated to be great or very good. I don't get that obsession, and Peden was a good fighter himself, who, despite what you keep repeating, actually did have very good punching power.overrated? I think only me and about 2 other people are even fans of him, and most people even thought Guzman was going to beat him.
and Campbell is more than just a one win kind of guy. hes had his bad moments...mostly against Peden...but he also was arguably robbed against a prime Casamayor when he was still green, beat the hell out of an undefeated Kid Diamond(who had just recently went to a draw with Casamayor), and ruined Quiles and Matt Zegan.
give him a break. people look too much into losses. youd think people would have learned something by now, but nope.
there are plenty of fighters throughout history who have tons of losses, but were able to beat very talented fighters (or give them a very hard time)
...Freddie Pendleton comes to mind.Comment

i agree with you.
i think the threadstarter is being a LITTLE too hard on campbell but i do agree in the sense that he's not as good as people make him seem to be.
I also believe diaz beats him in a rematch...i thought he had the first fight going in his favor pretty easily until the cut...thats when campbell took over...
but i think diaz knows how to handle it now and i would expect him to decision campbell or even a late fight stoppage.Comment

I completely agree!
All guzman has to do is make weight and a victory is a sure thing. nobody can touch him. He will completely outclass PAC, JMM, Juan Diaz, Campbell, Cassamayor and anybody at lighweight. Tye fields can give him a hard time but he UD's him too.
Guzman is a maniac!Comment
