No he's not.

It'll probably these top 3 canadiates at the end of the year:
-Cristian Mijares (First man to unify 3 titles at the lower weight classes, jumps from 31 to 8 on the p4p, becomes #1 superfly, beats Navarro, Munoz, and Darchinyan)
-Antonio Margarito (Beats Cintron and Cotto. Jumps from 20 to like 6 on the p4p list)
-Manny Pacquiao ("beats" JMM and demloishes David Diaz. Loses to De La Hoya)

I agree with that list (except that Pacquiao has to win) and would also put Calzaghe and Pavlik ahead of him if they win their next fights impressively.

Of course he is a good candidate.

The guy went from arguably beating/loosing manny pacquiao to fighting a super high risk fight in his first fight at a higher weight and won in spectacular fashion.

For Manny Pacquiao to be over JMM this year as a FOTY candidate he'd have to beat DLH imo.

People think he won against Pacquiao... but he didn't, thats the end of it. If you lose a fight in a year then your aren't get FOTY unless Marquez rematches Pacquiao by years end and beats him which won't happen or does something equally as drastic then he isn't getting it.

Pacquiao will have fought Marquez, Diaz and Oscar if he beats Oscar then he proberbly gets it.
Pavlik will have fought Taylor, Lockett and Hopkins if he beats Hopkins he's in for Contention
Calzaghe will have fought Hopkins and Jones he's up for it
Margarito has fought Cintron and Cotto this year so he's a strong contender
Mijares is a very likely contender as well looking at everything he's done this year

I CANNOT see Marquez get Foty this year.
