He schooled Hector Velazquez last night. Velazquez tried coming on in the second half but Rojas simply didnt allow it and countered Velazquez with good shots pretty much at will. This win is suppose to get him a title shot now!
He should have already had one because when he lost to Gameliel Diaz in an eliminator in his last fight before Velazquez he was robbed. The fight was in Mexico and Diaz deffinately got some hometown treatment. Rojas easily won and he was deducted a bunch of points too, but Diaz got a split decision.
Now Rojas is back and ready for a title! I think he might be in line to fight Jorge Linares. That would be a very interesting fight. I think Rojas could beat Linares.
