I don't think Joe C is prime anymore, but he ain't to the point of bein shot or a shell of his younger self yet.

Yup, Irish.. the amateurs don't compliment his style, he'll succeed in the pro ranks I think, he's already said he's going to turn pro, so it's just a matter of time before we see him on TV.

It's also hard to imagine how good DeGale would be, he doesn't look like he hits very hard at all. He just looked like he knew how to manipulate the scoring system.

          Exactly!

When people hear "Past prime" they sometimes think "Shot". Like Hagler had slipped a little by the time Ray Leonard fought him, he was still a very good fighter, he just wasn't quite as good as he was a few years before.

OP clearly doesn't know much about Calzaghe's career

against Mario Veit (the 2nd time) was the last time he was in his prime

              You are the idiot!

Calzaghe is not in his prime, it's a scientific that you are strongest, most agile and your body stamina is highest, when you are between 20 and 30.

I guess you didn't study your homework.

The thing about your "proofs" is just that, Calzaghe is damn good. Even outside his prime.

              P4P #1 imo.

Degale is a fighter I don't see succeeding in the pro's at all.. he's a switch hitter but with no power, his entire style is based around the olympic point system.. hit and not get hit, rely on the ref to break the two of you up if the opponent should get on the inside.. and ontop of that he has hardly any power.

I could be wrong, we'll have to wait and see.

                  3) Calzaghe is doing what no other fighter in the sport is doing today. He moved up a division, and took out the king pin. Pac Man, moved up again this year, and took down a very weak title holder in David Diaz. To a degree JMM did the same, Casamayor is not the fighter he once was.

So Calzaghe is the best from MW to LHW. Hes in his prime.

                  And he deserves more respect.

Short memories everyone has! One bad performance against a guy who is impossible to look good against.
pacquiao was ibf 122 champ when he moved up to 126 to fight barrera , the 126 kingpin.

juanma to a degree did what joe did? juanma did exactly what joe did. he moved up from 130 and took out the 135 kingpin!

joel is not what he once was? you're telling me bernard is what he once was?

i'm amazed at ultimateboxa's level of ******ity.

ultimateboxa doesn't have a short memory. he has a selective one.
