Marquez win over Casamayor saddened me, Timothy Bradley surprised me, J.M.M pfp #2.

Two of the very best boxers in the world...past their primes, and I saw a H.O.F fighter get stopped in a fight that would be totally different if either man was in their prime. Juan just has skills for days. Casamayor has fought for a very long time, and it finally caught up to him. I would've hated to see either man lose this one. Casamayor deserved to see a count, and did not deserve that stoppage loss like that. He deserved a chance to get up and beat the count. Golden Boy productions is about as terrible as it gets. Some of the decisions made during and after fights that they have promoted have been outright terrible. Casamayor deserved a chance to be finished by another great.

What can you say about Marquez. He is a H.O.F fighter, highly skilled, and is now ranked number 2 behind Calzaghe on my list. Pac is down to 3 for now. Marquez does not turn down fights, has fought everyone, and is aging like fine wine. Nothing else needs to be said.

Did Bradley surprise anyone with his boxing skills? He looked smooth against Cherry. Cherry loses steam in every fight, and can be outboxed, but Bradley looked smooth defensively. Bradley still lands those looping shots, and cauight Cherry with one of those shots. Bradley has gotten better all around. He faded a bit in the end, but he got the win.

Guzman disappointed me, as well as the organization who did not monitor his weight. If he indeed think he would have trouble rehydrating, good decision. It was just disappointing not to see two classic match ups.

Marquez is number 2 pfp. Pac moves down to 3 based on not appearing unbeatable against top notch comp, and taking softies and money fights....

Golden Boy productions is fast becoming a very untrusted company imo...

I think he still would have gotten stopped. Marquez stunned Casamayor a few times. And i think Marquez was stunned once or twice.

casamayor was actually pretty classy in defeat.

Good stoppage though, Casa was out for sure
