Everything about Golden Boy producing it was corny and looked cheap to me. It looked like it was a ESPN friday night fights event. Their TV graphics looked cheap. Im paying 50 bucks can I at least get a high definition fight?

I thought it was pretty good for a promoter's own show. Much better then a Don King or a Latin Fury card. Sure they might cost less, but I didn't mind the commentators. Sure I'd love to see Lamps, but I thought it was worth every penny last night. Great night of fights.

because there's a guy name shaefer and also de la hoya their some of the greediest, dirtiest people in the business so they charged almost what a hbo ppv would cost but left out everything what a HBO ppv card is and plugged in some low budget employees which makes profits higher for golden boy. Notice Golden Boy didn't really mention anything about how the show was put together. They knew it would affect sales so they kept quiet.

I don't know how people didn't know this wasn't gonna be a legit HBO PPV.

There were articles about it, people mentioned it throughout the week.

That being said all those "independent" PPVs look the same. 80s production, 2nd rate commentators. It's all about the content. Some Top Rank PPVs have a bunch of decent fights, ok. But yesterday's had two throw away fights, one decent fight, and the main event. That isn't enough.

P.S. I thought Mario Lopez actually did a decent job, be grateful Doug Fischer wasn't there like on the Calderon broadcast.

Have you guys never ordered a Top Rank ppv? Because Mario Lopez does commentary for Top Rank every now and then. Got to youtube type in mario lopez boxing or sparring, you'll see him box.

The ppv view at first had a cheap view to it but the announcers knew what they were talking about. I know one of them is a long time boxing announcer then other a long time boxing writer. I think they were too biased towards Casamayor. I thought it was a tough fight but i thought Marquez was ahead by a few points.
