so Peter got rid of his old trainer and his new trainer is the dude who trained Ray Austin for Waldimir? I mean Peter's old trainer was always dissapointment to me cuz Peter didn't have any discipline. Always getin points taken off hittin on clinches, behind the head, rabbit punches all that ****. He comes in overweight, bad stamina, not enough roadwork. Hopefully Stacy who also trained Tyson for a few fights can get a new improved Peter.

I don;t know if he still does their PR, but Sam Peter's regurgitations are so putrid, that I suspect that he does. I don't think he's too bright, although he has some editorial position in one of the boxing web sites, can't remember which.
It doesn't take much to write the usual PR crap which the boxing "stables" issue all the time, but some are much better than others...........
Sam's isn't one of them.Comment

Weelll....he had one Klitschko for breakfast, and even though K took the fight on abou 2eeks notice or less, he gave Lewis such an attack of INDIGESTION that, not only did he give up his bizarre idea of having "the other one for lunch" but also gave up any notion of keeping his promise to have a return bout with Klitschko who'd fought him to a standstill-and then some- but gave up his title too, rather than fight the rematch...Comment

shouldn't have been able to get any power that way.
I think even Klitschko was surprised the way Austin melted down, that is, Ray Austin, not Tim Austin.
In fact there was an outcry against the fight right away, and in truth, it wasn't any kind of a fight, since Austin capitulated at the first "shot".
Of course, Sam can do better, almost anyone can, but the question is................How much better??Comment

Did Peter fire Pop's Anderson?
Why did Peter fire Pop's.Pop's did great work with Peter. When Peter first arrived in Vegas i was there.Let me tell you,Pop's work is ass off to get Peter to were he is today.Always the trainer is the first to go.No loyalty.Eddie Futch once told me that the fighters you do the most for seems to be the one that hurts you the most.He called it INGRATITUDE.Comment

That doesn't say very much for the deision, since Austin succumbed to 2 mild left hooks which were really arm shots, with very little backswing and with the arm fully extended.
shouldn't have been able to get any power that way.

But if you say he delivered one with real power, then he must occasionally do it. The analysts are always talking about him being the only heavyweight who converts a left jab into a left hook, but I have a different concept of what a left hook really is.
For me, a left hook both begins and ends as a left hook which allows it to gather and deliver real power.
The most perfect left hook I've seen in over 50 years was that of Floyd Patterson...nothing else like it in boxing.Comment

Thanks, maybe I missed that, when I come across it I'll watch it again. I've never thought much of K's left hook since it really isn't the classic, correct left hook, but more like a left jab suddenly becoming, 3/4 way there, a sort of hook, to try to get around a defensive glove, Therefore, it won't have his shoulder and body behind it, since he's veered away from his "power source". I can't see how he can ever get REAL power on it.

samuel peter has an iron chin. good power... all he has to do is to practise more boxing and get his stamina up and his speed. lose a little bit of weight. if he does that, no one will be able to beat him...
if he doesn't do that, i'm pretty sure vitali will knock his lights out.Comment
