    Hatton or Marquez for Pacquiao?

After Juan Manuel's great win , is there anyone in the world that does NOT want to see a rubber match between Pacquiao and Marquez?

If Hatton beats Paulie , it's a probability we'll never see a Pacquiao-Marquez trilogy. The Oscar and Ricky fights will net Manny about $40 mil. and he'll probably retire.

That being said , if Hatton loses , we'll definitely see Pacquiao-Marquez 3 next year.

The ideal would be Pacquiao-Marquez 3 early 2009 and Pacquiao-Hatton mid 2009 but I doubt Arum would risk a Marquez fight before a potential superfight with Ricky.

So I'm interested to see would people root for Hatton to lose so we'd be guaranteed in seeing a Pacquiao-Marquez rubber match next year?

Yes. If Ricky loses it'll guarantee a rubber match with Juan Manuel.

No. A Hatton fight would be just as entertaining.

Doesn't matter. Pacquiao will fight both Hatton and Marquez next year.

    The poll is expired.

There's no guarantee that if Hatton loses Pacquiao will fight Marquez again, I wouldn't be surprised if he fought Malignaggi.

    And I don't think it means Pacquiao-Marquez 3 won't happen if Pacquiao-Hatton happens, I think it'll just be a longer wait.

        I disagree , Silence.

Without Hatton , no other fight would command more money than Pacquiao-Marquez 3.

There's no money in fighting at 140 aside from Ricky. Even if Paulie beats Ricky he's not a draw.

If Pacquiao-Hatton happens 50/50 Manny retires or Floyd comes out of retirement and kills Marquez's chance for a rubber match.

If Ricky loses and Floyd stays retired , Marquez-Pacquiao 3 will happen next year. Guaranteed.

          I'm torn.

We need a Marquez-Pacquiao trilogy BUT damn a Hatton-Pacquiao fight would be so entertaining as hell along with the excitement and press the buildup would create.

A win over Hatton could make Malignaggi pretty big, especially in NY, we'll see after the fight if he wins how it affects his popularity.

I just think that Pacquiao will take the fight after Hatton, if Hatton wins, because as you said, it would be a big money fight, it would determine the best lightweight in the division and Marquez will be a year or so older by that point, which would make him about 36 years old, he could slow up a bit by then.

That's assuming Mayweather doesn't unretire for him.

Legacy wise and Money wise It's Hattom.. Can you just imagine the magnitude of this fight with all the Brits out there.

Pacquiao can become a 6 Division Champ of Hattons' IBF 140 belt and Ring Belt..

the only way a floyd fight makes sense is if manny actually beats oscar and hatton. a possibility but doubtful.

how about juanma at 135 beginning of 2009 , hatton at 140 mid 2009 and floyd at 140 end of 2009 after manny beats oscar this year at 147?

That's a great schedule but Pacquiao won't get past DLH.
