Everyone Let It Be Known Where You Stand On Floyd!

I dont mean where you stand overall but where you stand on the question that Im about to ask. Would you be fine with Floyd coming back right now but only fighting at 135-140? Would you be fine with him coming back to have fights with JMM, Diaz, Guzman, Campbell, Bradley, Malignaggi, the Peterson brothers, Pac Man, and so on?

I think about this all the time. I think Floyd is a natural 137-138 pounder right now that is just fighting at WW because he is skilled enough to do it and wanted to chase the big money Oscar fight. Still, when I watch 140 pound fights with guys like Cherry & Bradley tonight, I always think of Floyd. I loved there action and you can tell that it is Floyd's size. He would be so much more fun to watch and so much more offensive minded at those weights. I watch all these LW's coming into the ring weighing more then Floyd does on fight night at WW. Dont tell me that its fake. Floyd is a small dude.

I would love watching Floyd fight the huge guys at WW if he could naturally come into the ring at even a 156 pounds which would still be alot smaller then the other guys but he cant do it. He's like Zab. They need to be at the smaller weights. Again, I think he would beat guys like Margarito, Cotto, and so on because he's just that skilled but the fights would be boring most likelly and they will be so ******ly judged. By that I mean that people still act like he has to beat those guys and I dont agree with that. They always aknowledge the size differnce as the main reason why they say that Floyd will lose to the big WW's but yet at the same time they call him a ***** for not fighting them. I dont agree with it. The only 2 guys I wouldnt mind seeing him fight is Mosley, Berto, and Clottey. The first 2 guys are big but not huge and Clottey is huge but he's not a bruiser so I dont think the size would kill Floyd. Other then that I would rather see Floyd fight the other guys. He should do it. People act like Floyd would be beating up on smaller guys. It still would be his 2nd and 3rd weight division while the WW guys are in there 1st and are huge. It would be Floyd's 2nd & 3rd and I bet he would still weigh less then his opponents.

PS- Remember, he could always go back to 147 at the end to have 1 last huge fight with Margarito, Cotto, or maybe it would be Berto at that time. I could see Margarito meeting him at WW even if he went to 154 for 1 final big money fight

He's a brilliant boxer. Honestly, I'd love to see Floyd back in the mix. I hate seeing him waste that talent while it's still intact. I hope his last farewell was just another stunt.

why not? Sadly the only match he would take at 140 would probably be a Hatton rematch

why would i be happy with that? there are a lot more stern challenges in the 147 division so coming back at that weight would seem like a cop out

Yes, I would like Floyd to come back. The best fights are any of the top welters, especially Margarito, and Pacquiao. I wouldn't mind seeing a Hatton rematch just for fun, but I'm a Brit.

see, I just dont agree with that. People say that because he's at that weight class but the truth is that he is far closer in size to guys like Pac, Diaz, Guzman, etc.. then he is to Margarito, Cintron, Clottey, and Cotto

If/when Floyd comes back, it will be as a welterweight. Believe that.

                    This.

From the perspective of a Boxing Scene forum member, I probably wouldn't like to see him back because of all the tiresome **** that gets spouted from the fans/haters on NSB.

But as a boxing fan, I hope he comes back.
