How come when a fighter wins his opponent is discredited??

All I see now is...Casa was a Bum anyway..

    "He Lost to Santa Cruz"

"He got a lucky KO over Katsidis"

    "He's old as ****"

    etc...

JMM will never get the recognition he deserves due to fans who make those ******ed ass claims!..

Man up and give the Winners some ****in Props!!..without tryin to knock the man who you all once claimed he'd give him a hell of a fight and might even KO JMM...

Yall wanna hide behind all of Casa's flaws now tho I see..

Those scoring the fight in the RBR seemed to be generally quite respectful of Casamayor. But it's undeniable at this point that he isn't the fighter he once was, age has taken its toll.

It's normal and a fact.. Sta Cruz beat his ass and it's a fact.. Katsidis a C Level fighter and a BUM and just overrated due to his style.. Just look at Katsidis resume and you'll see. Casamayor is old? Yes he is. His best days was against the Castillo and Corrales era..

How can you give him credit of beating a retiring Barrera which a lot of people had MAB winning.. It's a no brainer

People were saying those things about Casa prior to the fight. I found the worst example of this when Margarito detractors tried to take away from his win over Cotto by discrediting Miguel. That was pretty pathetic. In some cases it is not called for but in this instance I do think Casa was over the hill so it takes a little away from Marquez's win.

The oldness and the bad recent performances were at the front of my mind before the bout started.

Cotto's chin was in my mind before that bout started.

But you do have to pay attention to what happens in the ring in some fights, like... Calzaghe vs. Lacy. Although Lacy looked good before that fight, you did have to take a step back after the fight and say... ****, we clearly overrated Lacy.
