After the first few rounds Marquez took over the fight and clearly beat Casa to the punch. It was only late in the 9th and 10th did Casa start to press and try and gain back the momentum of the fight. He was down in my opinion. But the score means **** at the end of the day because he was stopped.

The only thing that is surprising with this victory for Marquez is that it went 11 rounds. Joel tried desperately during the press conferences and weigh-ins to get in Marquez's head but it didn't work.

Casamayor has been on his last legs for a while but has enjoyed a good win streak. I doubt he retires though. I think he still needs the money. Doesn't he have something like 9 kids?

Great Techincal Brawl !!! both fighters brought it, it was a super close fight no way was casamayor out of the fight before the stoppage. Casamayor was landin that left all nite, marquez need to watch out for that left n the future specially with guys with more speed, but im glad Marquez won, my favorite mexican fighter right now no doubt.

i was only able to watch the last 2 rounds on a stream because i had relatives over from houston because of the hurricane so i had to attend to them. but those 2 last rounds i watched Marquez fought beautifully he just completely dominated Casamayor. Marquez is getting older and casa obviously is even more up there but both still are have a lot left and marquez proved why he is a top P4P fighter among the best!
