Not making weight is a pretty disgraceful thing to do. No excuses for mine. As someone else mentioned, Campbell prepared for this fight and for Guzman to do this is a poor effort no doubt.

He still didn't make weight and I still don't respect the guy, but I'm glad to know he won't be dying in the ring tonight if he indeed tried to make weight. Who really knows
very very disappointing... guzman is bumped to the back of the line, i think he wont get another shot for a couple years... he should've took a tune up before calling out campbell... maybe guzman should move up to 140 lbs.

I don't think he can win at 140, but then again Malignaggi is like the #2 guy there, so it's possible

You can stand there and stick up for your countryman all day, but I'm just telling you the truth. This is a very, very debilitating blow to his career.

Have you noticed Showtime basically calling him a coward for not wanting to fight? I'm not saying he's a coward. I'm saying he's a moron, a clown, and a joke for not being able to make weight. Now we'll probably never find out how good this guy could have been.
I agree with this guy...wow all the hype for nothing..I was so ready for this fight...wat a dissappointment..

I hope Tye Fields type of hype ends here for guzman.

We all know hes talented. we all know he's this and that but he doesnt have the certificate to prove it. like fuego said he has 0 Big fight. the fight with sotto counts for something but Barrios recently got ****ed by the now 'gatekeeper' Juarez.

Big Disapointment really i think he has the chance to land Marquez or Pac later if he got the belts from nate.

just imagine its your first fight in a higher division and you didnt make weight? at least Castillo's been fighting at lightweight before corrales 3.

its very disappointing he didn't make weight, but give him a break. he was going up in weight and it appears he added a lot of muscle, as he did weight lifting for the first time in his career to prepare for the fight. it's not as if he just came in as a fat boy, he came in too bulky.

guzman has had a lot of tough breaks over his career, this one obviously goes on his shoulders, he gets the blame no doubt but some of ya'll are actin like he killed the pope. unfortunately this happens from time to time. I'm sure he's pretty upset about it himself.

also keep in mind he was scheduled to fight alex arthur and was ready to fight and that **** was canceled on him. he's been inactive as a result

Your bias here is POST-RATIONAL. I am part dominican myself but I know BULL**** when I see it. Guzman has had over 25 fights, he should ****ing know this is a job and he FAILED it. As a pro this could set him back FAR MORE than a loss would.
