WBC #26 bantam Pungluang Sor Singyu (21-0, 13 KOs) successfully retained his WBC Youth 118lb title as he stopped Jayson Layson of the Philippines on Friday at the ground of Pakhai District in Ayutthaya, Thailand. The Thai fighter performed well with his aggression, weakening his foe with vicious right hooks punctuated by hard bodyshots. The Filipino counterattacked well in round two, cutting Pungluang’s right eyebrow, and he resisted the champion’s offense for a while. However, the bout was terminated in round three as the Thai boy speeded his assault and dropped his opponent with a left hook to the body, officially scoring a KO at 2:29.
In other action, WBC #6 feather Chonlatarn Or Piriyapinyo (27-0, 14 KOs) impressively scored a third round KO over Joan De Guia, dropping the Filipino twice with a right hook at the head and the last one with a left hsnd bodyshot for a full ten-count at 2:25. Nicole Paradorngym won a unanimous over Pichitchok Singmanassak. And Krayangkao Paradorngym outpointed Keomorakot Noicarcenter in a 4-round female bout. This event was promoted by Pariyakorn Ratanasuban of Onesongchai Boxing promotion.
