Antonio Margarito-Miguel Cotto II: "The Battle" Part 2

The wheels are turning on both sides of the fence as WBA welterweight champ Antonio Margarito, and former champ Miguel Cotto, are already looking ahead to a repeat of their battle that was fought in July. Cotto controlled the first half of the fight, but it was Margarito who came on in the second-half to batter the Puerto Rican star into submission for an eleventh-round stoppage. [details]

As much as I like Cotto, I still think a rematch with Margarito will end in a Margarito win. Dont get me wrong, im not discrediting Cotto for his skill, but the way Margarito took Cottos punches throughout the fight, particularly straight shots to the face, Margarito still kept coming. Cotto didnt wobble him or phase Margarito at all. Now they say Cotto should of went to the body more. If Cotto does go to the body more, Margarito will be on top of him smothering him and we saw what type of Chin Cotto has.

If Cotto works on his defense, im pretty sure he would be able to go the 11 rounds. Tony's pressure was immense. Cotto couldn't make Tony think twice about not coming forward.

This is boxing anything can happen. I will be rooting for Cotto, but a rematch has to be done IMHO. Im pretty sure Cotto wants revenge. Will he get it? Who knows, but if Cotto can tighten up his defense im pretty sure he could possibly win a SD. Cotto is prone to uppercuts. The Cotto camp has to work on that. Also Cotto has never been that battered in a pro fight before. Theres always a first time for everything.

Before the first fight happened.....I predicted Marg would win by brutal KO(he did) and that Cotto would win the rematch to set up a 3rd dance.....I also said that after these 2 warriors fight each other 3 times......then Floyd would fight the winner of the rubber match after they both have been softened up!

So far my theory is playin out

Wow, are we talking about the same Margarito? He has been knocked out before early in his life, they showed the video on HBO.
