The nutritionist and trainer are supposed to insure that the fighter is on weight, so it's true that it's not only Guzman's fault but his team's as well.

He came in at 148lbs for the Soto fight and that was a day after making the 130lb limit. Im saying he goes all the way up to the jr. middleweight limit of 154lbs.

It might very well happen, since he will come in as the bigger guy. Nate starved himself for months just to make weight while Joan was seen hanging around near an ice cream and pizza place, what would think will happen if a pruny looking stick is about to fight a well fed cow?

It appears at this time that the fight will go on but Campbell's titles, of course, would not be on the line.
wow......just wow. guzman always wanted recognition and now he was finally gonna get it(bigtime) and he ****s it up. what a dope. and to think, he is the one moving up in weight class and even weighed in at 129.5 for his last fight but comes overweight at 138.5 today.

this would almost piss me off except its no fault but of guzman's and I think he doesn't deserve those titles for not putting in the hard work in training and dieting.

wrong, it matters and it matters big time. guzman would've secured 3 belts. he would've had all the leverage in the world to get any fight he wanted. and now, even if he wins in impressive fashion, he is gonna be avoided by the other fighers at lightweight just like he was at super featherweight. Guzman is 32 years old and doesn't have much time left to make a name for himself. he might have just ****ed his career by not making weight today.

Maybe due to the fact that he has proven that he can't make weight at lightweight.

maybe he should move up another weight class to 140.

                      guzman-hatton
                      guzman-holt
                      guzman-bradley

those aren't bad fights. I'm guessing he's a natural welterweight now but ww is already stacked enough as it is so I doubt he'll get any title shots and I don't know if he would fair well against much bigger fighers like williams or margarito. although, guzman-cotto or guzman-berto seem like very juicy matchups. now that I think about it, moving up might actually be much better for him than fighting at lightweight.
