but still i think these are some of the elite undefeated future Stars at 154 and sadly Rashad may have missed that train...

Austin Trout on the other hand I did miss and he is a fine prospect at
    (15-0, 11KOs)
I also know Vanes beat Trout in the Olympic Trials but of course that dont mean much in the pro's now huh.
    uh ok?

considering Mark Breland had one loss ever in the ammys yet was an ok champ kind of tells you about ammy success/failure

well ya i know its not everything.. but I wouldn't completely throw out certain amateur victories and losses either...

for instance... Vanes and Berto fought twice in amateurs.. Berto won the first in a real scrap, Vanes the 2nd in a scrap thus keeping Berto off the US Team. While this doesn't say it all... it does suggest that even in the pros they are fairly at the same level perhaps and would make for a tight matchup.

all those guys need to step it up possibly against each other. out of all i say kirkland will get KTFO first, exciting figher but lacks defense. he was tagged and stunned by a bum in his last fight.

I dont see it. To me, you are using it as just another way to prop Vanes up to mythical proportions.

For example, who did Vanes lose to other than Berto?

Carlos Navarro was a good ammy but a **** pro

          Dante Craig

          Kelcie Banks

          shall I go on?

im not propping him up... I am stating FACTS.. not my fault you chose to blind yourself to FACTS.

Those amateur fights between Vanes and Berto will definitely come into play if they ever meet in the pros... whether for technical reasons, or just mental.

I dont care what other amateurs did... as a guy that knows Vanes personally, I know what HIS amateur wins and losses meant to him... he went somethin like (120-10) and ive seen most of the videos where he avenges his loss the second time around.

You cant argue that the basis of a good pro career is a solid amateur career.

POINT IN FACT! The 0 votes here for Chavez Jr. who stepped up into the big leagues blind and is somewhat of a laughing factor now.

Top Rank will not make that fight! JCC jr would get messed up badly.

of course i wouldnt give a **** about him...

i know Vanes personally, he is like a brother to me and I do his web design/PR work etc.. do you expect anything less...

dont become childish, we were havin a decent conversation until you brought all your gay Vanes love stories into it... very uncalled for.

I dont want this to turn into another one of those bull**** ignorant threads. Lets stick to boxing FACTS like i have been.

I made a veryyy fair post of what i thought an amateur career meant... you on the other hand came back with absolutely NOTHING.
