Who has the best fighters pound for pound in the history of the sport?
I guarantee you if you look at the all time ranking and who most of the experts consider the best fighters of all time, you will find Mexican fighters above PR fighters in the listings.
I respect PR but let's not get carried away.
well... that in fact is just an opinion... who the experts may consider... <- thats an opinion ... a very good one.. but that doesnt change the fact that is still an opinion.... non a fact..
Puerto Rico has produce more chamions per capita in the world. FACT.
and im not saying that puerto rico is better or anything like that.... But i was wondering if he can reply an anser with out bias... like I did with his question.Comment

PR for being such a small country does have many boxing champs, but unlike Mexico, I am not sure how good is oppertunity in PR vs Mexico, I have lived there, in a middle class colinial, but it still wasnt easy to do much, not to mention that most people over there dont think about boxing as much as you think, they are into other things, Soccer,Baseball, basketball(now) and nascar
Historically, Mexican and Puerto Rican boxers have fought many important fights against each other. It should be observed that the supposed rivalry between boxers from Mexico and Puerto Rico has been a balanced one, as the winning percentage for these two groups of boxers against the other group is about 50 percent. Also, this supposed rivalry does not carry into other everyday endeavors, as Puerto Ricans and Mexicans generally enjoy a good relationship, as do other groups of Hispanics.Comment

All this Mexican vs PR **** is dumb to be honest. I have some great PR friends that I have known for years and have been great people to be around.
I think right now, Mexico, PR and the Phillipines are holding boxing down as far as keeping it very popular.
Think about the great fights we have seen over the last 5 years they always involve fighters from one of those 3 countries.
I repect the Phillipines a lot too man, because they are hard working, humble people. I didn't mind when Barerra, Morales and JMM lost to him, he's a great fighter.Comment
