hey ******, yeah you! no one expects a 44 yr old man to fight like he did when he was younger(except morons such as yourself), but even fewer expect that 44 year old to perform on such a high level, that would beat all, but a few of the very top guys. the truth is that bhop even at 43 has still never been in a fight he could not win as he entered the final few rds. **** outta here.

quality hommie, good heads up on reality, something that needs to be addressed here more often, sometimes i read things here and i'm blown away by some of the obtuse views and over exaggeration and down right ******ity. it's sad, but then again, it's entertaining too.

            good posts though, again.

his body looks in shape, but he can't go 12 full rounds anymore. he can't even potshot as good as he used to anymore.

Umm...I don't expect him to fight like he did when he was younger...but to say he still fights great is ridiculous. All he does now is hold and hit...how in the hell is that great???

Lets not forget that the #2 p4p is also overrated.

B-Hop remains at the top level of the sport simply by craft and extremely economical punching. Yeah, he is in superlative shape for a 44 year old, but time has been catching up with him lately; In the Calzaghe fight I saw signs that he is finally begining to slip in a way that will keep him from beating any more top fighters in the future. He is still in excellent shape (for his age), but he just doesn't have enough stamina or punch output anymore.

I think he was feigning pain from low blows in the Calzaghe fight in order to buy time to rest. I think Pavlik will be his last fight, and for the first time ever I see a knockout loss as a possible result for B-Hop. All the skill in the world won't overcome Pavlik's barrage if Hopkins cannot throw enough to keep Kelly off of him.

Foreman was able to keep going past 44 because he had that great equalizer, power. Hopkin's doesn't have it, and a great defense is no substitue for effective offence.
