If you look at the competition at SMW, he is a genuine title contender. Khan isn't even in the top 50 in the LW div. IMO.

Check out my edit I think Froch has a better chance than Khan does, for a couple of reasons;

To start with the Lightweight division is a lot better than Supermiddleweight and second, although Khan is much more skilled, and they both have bad defense, Froch is toguher and has a good chin....Khan has a ****e chin.

No matter what anybody says, Froch is worthy of a shot at any SMW title. He's climbed the ladder of the WBC rankings in a less then fashionable way, but it can't be helped when being avoided by any other genuine contenders.

If he can back it up at the highest level is to be seen, but if he's drawn against Pascal in a title match then his dream of being a World Champ will be a reality. Then he can look at the top boys.

Agreed, Khan can win if he steps up to LWW, he also needs to not fight in rammadan. How the **** can you be strong when you don't eat while the sun is up???

I agree, he has a much better chance at 140. He would need to improve his defense by miles though, and even then there is a chance of him losing. If a big hitter (Or a average puncher) lands clean on his chin he would prob end up in trouble

Is it just me, or could you say the exact same about Froch?

Froch has a ****ty defense himself and he still hasn't fought anyone with a pulse. I'm sorry but fighting a shot robin reid doesn't count as a good win. If Robin Reid was just half what he was when he fought Calzaghe, I guarentte you froch would have hit the canvas once. I think froch has a good heart but realistically his defense is so utter **** that its unrealistic. It's like he tries to copy roy jones jr at times lowering his left all the time. Roy does that sometimes to bait people into a fight, he'll lower his left. I don't really get that tactic of boxing because you can get ko'd if you mess around like that and roy has gotten ko'd for letting his guard down against tarver and johnson.

I agree, I am not big on Froch at all. He has power, and is a tough guy. But I just don't see a lot in him, maybe I will be proven wrong. In which case I will admitt I was wrong, until then I stay firm that Froch doesn't have anything special really.

Froch if you dont get a fight soon, Khan may be the best available opponent for you. Khan needs someone to fight to prove his ko defeat was a fluke.
