I guess you've never watched guzman fight before.

Exactly, It's getting annoying hearing everyone call this guy a runner when he gets into fights at times, but then slips out & boxes his opponent. I think he is exciting as hell to watch just for that.

LOL, have you even watched Guzman? He TRADES with everyone. Every fight. Soto, Barrios, etc. The only reason he gets called a runner is because the last three rounds against soto he coasted because he was clearly a head on the score cards (and maybe it had to do with having a year long layoff too). Guzman is no coward and will trade with Campbell. He's no idiot either - he'll trade and box.

I've watched as he's developed but really, he does run, has and probably will again if his feather fists cant do damage to Nate.....Like i said, fights like Gayweather but more feather fisted.....

I think he has a defense similar to Floyd and natural athleticism like Floyd, but he trades way more then floyd and takes a lot of chances.

From what I remember on Guzman’s earlier (122) bouts, he never ‘coasted’ to end his fights…I do believe that he’s a brilliant boxer that should be at 122-126 but he has the skills to compete at higher weights…I think he ‘coasts’ because it’s a different type of damage, whether superficial or internal, that he’s taking when fighting naturally bigger fguys…he gets wide leads and becomes a safety-first boxer

That's definitely not safety first. That's being the aggressor and fighting a bit reckless!

Like Emmanuel Stewart says in this clip, Guzman can box if and when he wants too. That's what makes him great. He'll trade with his opponents then switch it up and box.

as i stated, he gets a wide lead then becomes a safety first fighter...you wont find too many of those early round exchages at the end of his bouts...not at these higher weight classes

At the last round against Barrios he did, I didn't see all of the Sotto fight.

Ok, I'll take that, but that's the smart thing to do imo. Why trade for 12 rounds if you're winning (and the smaller guy)? Shows his versatility/talent - he'll trade with you, fight inside as well as box you.
