Cristian Mijares vs. Vic Darchinyan - Nov. 1 on Showtime

I mean according to the ring at the begining of 2008 he was ranked #31 pound for pound in their top 100 poll.
Then goes onto beat:
Jose Navarro: Good contender and challenger. Always comes up a bit short, but gave Kawashima a tough fight who gave Miajres two hard fights.
Alexander Munoz: WBA champion coming off wins over Nobou Nashiro, the conquerer of his conquerer, a tune up, and then Kawashima in a very exciting fight. This fight he looks exceptional and gains him entry into the top 10 pound for pound. Second unification fight at 115 ever and first since 1997.
Chatchai Sasakul: Easy tune up here.
Vic Darchinyan: Coming off a dominant win over IBF super flyweight champ Dimitri Kilirov and what should be a win over Z gorres. Got knocked out at 112, but proved he belongs with the top at 115. If Mijares wins, he'll be the first ever in the lower weight classes to unify 3 titles.
Other then Pacquiao if he beats De La Hoya I don't see why he shouldn't be fighter of the year. Sure Margarito beat Cintron and Cotto, but I think Mijares edges it out.Comment

Mijares doesn't exactly carry a lot of power, but there is such a talent and technique disparity here that I have a hard time envisioning a fight where Vic doesn't get stopped. I wish he and Arce would get together before even more luster is taken out of the fight. I've got Vic by mid round KO in that one.Comment

Vic vs Montiel is much better for the style of this Raging bull from Armenia....
or A. Munoz vs Vic a much better option becasue Munoz was beaten by Mijares by UD.
Brawler vs Puncher this will be a KO win for Vic
But a technical Boxer vs Puncher.... well I doubt Mijares has the edge of this fight all night on Nov. 1.
