will Amir Khan be able to bounce back...

yea i know he,s young and everyone has to lose sometime or another but the way he was knockout is a totally different thing. if you look at the way his face was twisted after the first knock down and the way he looked trying to recover was not good...that kinda remind me of augie sanchez after being hit by nas and never being the same...cuncusped if that,s the word...will see how he looks in a return fight...

For Khan to come back he and his management need to step back from the idea of immediate glory and start thinking in a timescale of years again. The reality is that Khan is actually little more skilled than the fighter who left the amateurs four years ago. At 21 he is simply not ready for championship level and they need to start matching him on the British and European scene against opposition he will learn something from facing. They also have to choose a style for him and stick to it, I think they should foregt any notion of Floyd style skill and look at someone like Mikkel kessler for a style that would suit Khan and limit the impact of his flaws.

If they do this, I see no reason why in a year or two Khan should not be able to compete with the Alex Arthurs of this world and then see where he can go from there. I don't think Khan will ever be close to being the fighter he wants to be though, he doesn't seem to possess either the reflexes or the mental aptitude to be a truly imposing boxer.

I doubt it. Every person before Prescott and Gomez he has fought had low KO%'s. And we see the result of putting him in with people that arent feather fisted.

i dont think he will ever be good defensively to be good defensively you need to have the instincts of a defensive fighter Khan likes to rip it up to much and that is what he is best at taking it to his man

i honestly dont know where he goes from here im very sceptical about his chances though TBH

yeah maybe he definetly needs to refraim from getting involved as much and think about using the jab more and holding the centre of the ring if he stays behind that stick and counter punches he could still be very effective IMO

but i would 'nt be suprised to see him get knocked out again no matter how much more he improves with that type of strategy he could be a lot more sound defensively he needs to keep people off balance with jab etc he is quite tall for a lightweight but he does not use the jab enough IMO

Yeah, at the end of the day as a boxer you're going to get hit, even Mayweather takes them flush sometimes, so if you can't take a punch you haven't got much hope. Like you, though I think he could possibly make a reasonable career, I am pretty sceptical.
