Hussein is a very rough fighter, he caused Pacquiao a lot of mental anguish with his physical strength.

Would you like to watch a boxing match where the whistle is blown ever 30 seconds, the actions stopped, numerous points are deducted and the fighters warned?

Look this is **** that happens in the ring. And yes, sometimes it's a lil out of sorts. ****ing Miranda Abraham 1 was one of the worst fights I have ever seen from the 5 or 6th round on. It was like watching a ****in Tim Donaghy refed basketball game in which he placed a large wager on the game. Stoppage every 30 secs and 62 free throw attempts from one team. Newman was forced to stop the action constantly and take points away. It happens though. Yes sometimes its over the top, and both of you guys are right. But don't say that guys like BHop and Casamayor shouldnt be in the Hall becuase that's the way these guy have always fought throughout there respected careers!

This is my point, look at Hatton-Collazo. What happened early? The fight was rougher than Collazo wanted and he spent more time complaining to the ref and not enough time fighting back.

Once Collazo stopped complaining and started fighting, look what happened. He started beating Hatton up.

Yep, it does happen, and I agree that a ref that stops action constantly would be better off in the parking lot directing traffic...that way he stays busy, and out of the way of the fight itself. All I'm saying is that constant intentional fouls have no place in the sport, in my opinion, and that fighter has no place in the HOF...again, my opinion. And Speiglo is right, in part at least, about my age. I was taught a keener sense of sportsmanship because I was raised in a different era than you kids were, but don't go thinking that I don't believe in fighting dirty, either....just not in the ring. Oh, I'm not going to mash a guy's nuts into jelly in a simple barfight (that I probably would've started anyway, just for fun), but if I'm deep in the ****, anything goes.

Yeah no ****. Collazo still should won that fight man. And he gave away some rounds early cuz he was too busy bitching instead of fighting!

Exactly, because the biggest fight of his life prior to that was probably the Golden Gloves finals and that kind of stuff doesn't work in the pros. It's a rough sport and if you're not ready, you will wind up like Darrin Van Horn against Iran Barkley. Nice guys finish last, especially in boxing. This is a rough man's sport.

HAHA very true. But like we said theres only so much an official can continue to do. And also, different officials also have different tolerance levels. I think if say Smoger was in the ring that night instead of Newman, Miranda doesn't lose the 2 late point that he lost for low blows. Smoger has always been a stickler when it comes to giving each individual fighter the utmost warnings before he tends to get involved. Now look at what Newman did also the way Nady tends to get involved in a lot of his fights. He's wlays been a huge point deduction ref. Member TRinidad and Vargas. He was taking points away without giving either fighter a real chance with a warning.
