    Is Marquez/Casamayor a sleeper candidate for F.O.T.Y??

Maruqez hasn't been in a boring fight since...**** I can't even remember
Casamayor has great power and in his last fight went to war

Could this fight actually become a fight of the year candidate, are people sleeping on this fight? Or do you think it will be too technical?

Casa will be too defensive to make it a FOTY candidate. Im sure it will be a good scrap, but i wont pay to see it. PPV's should be reserved for major events. Not fights like this.

The Salido fight frustrated me to bits. The moment Salido started fighting in the 12th round, he created swelling on Marquez's eye and started backing him up. Why didn't he try that earlier?

it definitley won't be fight of the year candidate but it will be a great fight to watch for true boxing fans. its gonna be a very technical fight and comfortable decision win for JMM IMO.

Can Marquez AFFORD a boring win? Thats the question that must be in the Marquez mind aside from "Marquez better not get KD'd". A boring win over Casamayor will not bring him closer to Pacquiao which is Marquez's mission. According to Juan, Pacquiao is the ultimate goal and why they are in the LW division anyway.

I agree, this will be a candidate for sleeper of the year.

This image of Marquez being boring should hopefully wash out after this fight. He hasn't been a boring boxer for quite a while now, not to mention this one is pretty important regarding his career and he fully understands what fans want.
