A minority of Americans that visit these forums are quite insular. They don't know much of what goes on outside the USA, but they like to think they do.

Maybe most posters weren't hyping him, but the hype came from Frank Warren and then british media big-time. Heck even danish papers covered Khan's downfall.

It just so happens that the only chance for non-britains to say 'I told you so' is by making hate- and flamethreads with the sole purpose perhaps being to ridicule british posters and british fighters in a very annoying and biased fashion. We've seen it all before and we will se it again. Unfortunately. Perhaps there was even a bit of rascism involved with Khan being ****** (I cannot prove that of course).
