I will watch Penalosa-Mares and then announce that I am leaving the party.
I will tell them I am hardcore, and I can't possibly watch a match that casual fans are interested in

This is what we need thogh man. U know this J. This isn't about what we want to see, or what fighters we want in there with each other. These are the 2 biggest potential PPV fights from a we need them standpoint in a long time. Pac and DLH will generate all types of ppl to buy and watch And who knows, maybe just maybe we get a great fight out of it. Maybe new fans are made that night, and maybe just maybe boxing is recognized once again as a mainstream sport. This fight isn't being fought for either mans legacy, and they know it. This is about BOXING.

        WRONG it's about money.

and why are these fights in a "we need them standpoint?" didn't you hear, Mayweather retired, Cotto lost, Margarito's a Mexican, Mora's Mexican-American so by process of elimination Manny Pacquiao remains as DLH's opponent.

and it's not December 11th it's the 6th. for all you DLH/Pac fight jocking you could have at least gotten the fight date right.

and lastly, come on too many maybe's to take your post seriously.

sure this fight COULD ''save boxing'' and maybe put it back in the spotlight.

but maybe people (me) are sick of DLH in the spotlight and want to see someone else.

Yeah, I don't think boxing is ever going to be mainstream again. I hate to say that, but it's true.
A lot of the casual fans will buy this or one other fight a year and be oblivous to boxing the rest of the time.

At least that's how many of friends and other people I see at fight parties act.
I would care about the ppv numbers if I was making money off of it, but I won't make **** so it doesn't interest me.

Give me Vasquez-Marquez or Kessler-Calzaghe or Mijares-Montiel over any of these, and I don't really care if 10 people watch it or a million.

Sure it's nice to gain new fans to a sport, nothing wrong with that, but I just don't see there being good fights ever being on regular tv again.(like they ever have been for most of my lifetime)

I wish they'd stack the undercards like they did in the early 90's.

Why not make it a real event with something for everyone?
Penalosa-Mares is a start, I hope they get another good fight on it but they probably know like I do, people mess around, and then tune in for the main event when that begins .

wow your stretching it comparing a DLH PPV to Chavez Jr. or Amir Khan

if it was me I'd pass on all 3, lol.

as they're all equally irrelevant just the DLH PPV will get the most hype.

and you, maybe'd the **** outta the first post, lol .. I mean out of all those maybe's how many of them do you think are actually going to happen?

maybe we get a great fight out of it.

All real boxing fans will watch the fight. Regardless of being an unjustified spectacle, it certainly won't be boring.

                      Good undercard? Right...
