but don't you think a $60 price tag could turn off a lotta potential buyers?

especially if the 24/7 is done lame?
i don't know if the prices are always the same everywhere but i'm from los angeles and had time warner cable.

th 3 ppv's i bought this year , marquez-pac 2/diaz-pac/cotto-marg was all$59.95 for me to the best of my memory.

o wow, thanks for the price comparison, wasn't doing it to be disrespectful

but im just saying .. WOW, $60 IMO seems incredibly high for a PPV (it was high def too right?)

I also have Time Warner, never really checked the cost to be honest. but I have yet to see a $60 PPV, maybe im looking in the wrong place, lol.

but yeah once November rolls around i'll be interested in just how DLH/Pac is hyped up as opinions about the fight are very much across the board (trying to be as politically correct as possible.)

and a lame 24/7 I think could really "kill" the fight. as for World Awaits im sure that's what drew in a lot of those $2 Mill buys.

**and I think prices would very by area, just a guess, as IMO $60 PPV's would be the end of boxing.

I mean paying $50 is 1 thing. but if $60 PPV became the standard i recon fans would get mighty sick of paying that for what 4-5 fights total?

o right yeah, that comes up on here all the time, and IMO it's a weak argument to use, sure I could rip someone for helping DLH-Pac get rich off PPV buys but what ever, there money not mine. Whoever wants to buy this fight has my blessing.

and I bolded that for emphasis as im more interested in HOW many buys the "biggest fight of the year" can nab. rather then if Pacquiao can avoid getting kayo'd

as boxing fans we look for sopcast of Ruiz-valuev you telling me we're not gonna watch pacquiao-delahoya? we might not buy it. $60 is a lot of money for a fight if you think it's not gonna be competitive or entertaining but we'll definitely watch it if we can.
Yeah I'll admit to watching Ruiz-Valuev and true, the topic does say "will you watch" .. not necessarily meaning you specifically have to buy the PPV.

MJ, you're going to see Pac's training pop up on major networks in between fights, Friday night fights will also comment on Dlh-Pac, 24/7 will show how hard PAc and Dlh are working, and you will stand up and say, "I want the fight...please". lol

I'm going to not only convince them to watch the fight, but I will convince them that Pac busts Dlh up, and stops the old man in 8 lol. Watch...lol. I got to get back to work in about 10 minutes, so I'll catch you guys later.

I liked to watch Oscar when he was younger and too more risks, but Pacman isn't much of a risk. He's going to look like a pygmy next to Oscar, and will most likely be badly abused, which is why I probably won't bother buying it...not much of a chance of an upset, and I don't care to buy fights where the outcome is pretty much written in stone.

Did you see Pacman's last fight? He wasn't going for the home run but settled for controlled aggression instead. He was like a "meat tenderizer" softening Daivd Diaz bit by bit, round by round. And when he thought Diaz is ripe for the picking, he stepped up his attack starting in the 8th round. His punches has more ommmph in it than the previous 7 rounds.

Although I agree that Oscar is a different cat altogether. Manny has a mountain to climb and he has to be in his utmost best and hope that all the stars are all aligned for him come fight night to have a decent chance at Oscar...

When I buy a PPV there has to be a huge draw to me. I've bought PPV in the past and its been a complete waste of money, turned out to be completely boring fights. If I pay 55 dollars I expect to get at least something that can contend with the boxing we see on FNF and WNF. DLH looked like crap against forbes(considering he was fighting forbes) and against floyd he just did not look the same, almost like he was scared to let his hands go, which if he would have he could have easily won the fight. I'm not going to pay to see him fight again, well I might have if it were Cotto/DLH or Margarito/DLH. And Manny, I like him a lot, but I have no idea why he is doing this fight, it is way too dangerous for him. He just moved up to lightweight, then his next fight is against someone that has fought at middleweight. And is really a Jr Middleweight.

And Teddy Atlas has already put the curse out, so we already know who is going to win.

If I had the money I'd probably buy it. But I'm not rich, so I have to pick which PPV I buy carefully. I cant buy one a month even, maybe one every two months. So I'm probably going to buy Pavlik/Hopkins. That fight has a lot more draw to me. Hopkins has a slow work rate, and pavlik will never slow it down to hopkins liking. So I think this could be a really interesting fight. If I were not buying that one, I would buy Calzhaghe/Jones just in the hope to see Calzaghe get caught.

Another thing, why is the boxing on this weekend a PPV? I understand it has some big names, but do we really have to pay to see every event with a name in it?
