is it himself? training? what.. he seems to have it all when he turns it on but mostly he fights waaay under what we have seen him capable of

probably the fact that most of his career he was able to land that perfect shot and put people on their ass in spectacular fashion, as hes moved up in weight, hes still complacent looking for that shot, its just how he is and after the other night, i know its how he will always be.

It truly is frustrating to see Juarez holding back so much…I don’t know if he doesn’t have faith in his stamina, afraid to get countered, I have no clue…all I know is, he’s changed since the Soto fight…the Rocky I used to watch on ESPN didn’t hesitate in letting go…maybe it’s the level of opposition, intimidation? Had he let his hands go, IMO, he would have won the first fight with MAB and he wouldn’t have been reduced as target practice for JMM and he might have ended the Barrios fight earlier

Yep, he fell in love with his own power, and wants to wait for that shot. Unfortunately, it's hard to get through to some fighters, and his career has suffered badly because of it, having lost 4 fights through simple inactivity...though in all honesty, I think Marquez would've beaten him no matter what, and maybe Barrera too.

It's also possible that he's holding back so he doesn't gas, though this is sheer speculation, as I don't know what his endurance is like, having never seen him throw much in a fight.
