Hopkins did better against Taylor the second time then he did the first.

I'm probably in the minority here with this, but I felt Bernard clearly did better in the second fight then he did in the first.

Personally I had the first fight a draw or Taylor winning. Round 7 was pretty close, which I scored for Hopkins. It could have gone to Taylor though. Bernard does really well for the last 3 rounds in this fight, but other then that he really does jack ****. He's able to win rounds 5,7,9, but not as clearly as the last 3. By then I felt it was too late for him to win.

The second fight however is much more of a Bernard type fight. I don't know why people say Taylor did better in this fight. He didn't land the cleaner punches, he didn't throw his jab as often. Didn't even focus on the body like in the first fight. Hopkins made Taylor look like garbage in the second fight. Sure Hopkins didn't land as much at the end, but Hopkins won 115-113 pretty clearly in the second fight. I think he should have gotten the nod on it. The first I'm not going to argue, but didn't one judge score the 12th for Taylor preventing the draw

Still the second fight Bernard landed the cleaner punches and didn't have Taylor land jack **** by tieing him up more and Taylor rarely used his jab. The only thing Taylor didn't really do in the second fight was become exhausted, but Hopkins clearly won the second fight imo.

I thought Hopkins started too late in the second fight, it was in his ability to win but he didn't for me, I had Taylor winning both fights.

I dont remember for sure...but i believe i gave taylor both fights by just one round being the difference from a draw.

The first fight wasnt as good as the next.

Taylor seemed to win the first fight more clearly and the second one i could see why people make the arguement hopkins won.

What seems so ironic to me is that hopkins was the long time reigning champion of the division and then taylor comes along and beats him...then they rematch and taylor does it again but hopkins looks better the second time around...

        now fast forward...

Taylor is the champ of the division and pavlik comes along and beats him...they go at it once more and pavlik wins again but its a much closer fight overall...

kind of funny how that worked out...

taylor beat hopkins twice to earn the title and pavlik beats taylor twice to earn the title.

I agree with that. Hopkins in the first fight i felt deserved a draw at the most.

He put on a much better performance the second time and i scored it 115-113 hopkins.
