Now I completely mis-read this fight. I thought Rocky would get a long awaited KO, but not because Barrios would get tired in the later rounds, but because Barrios was just a skinny guy with wide shots. Thats how I remember him from the Freitas fight.
But Barrios came in lookin like a small lightweight, I mean he was huge.
Now I completely belive Rocky was "confused with Barrios' style" and thats why "he didn't know what shots that he was getting hurt with early." I mean Rocky looked hesitant as ever throughout the fight. So him sayin he was confused, I believe him.
But even so, if you can't pick up on that kind of style, (which was pretty much garbage) and can't get your punches off, and you just sit back the whole time, you're not gonna win big fights. I mean technically, if it wasn't for the stoppage, this might have been like the 3rd or 4th fight in a row where Rocky just gets ****** on and does nothing. And because of that, I don't think Rocky is that smart in the ring, he's well spoked outside of it, but inside he seems like he can't figure it out.
As for the fight I saw Rocky get tired before Barrios was tired, Rocky couldn't find his distance at all, he'd swing and miss from the outside, on the inside he'd get a few shots in but throw nothin else. One of his biggest flaws was him not able to find his distance at all throughout that fight. He rarely threw punches when he's have an oppening, and when he did find an opening, he never really tried to find it again.
He should either move down in weight (which he won't), so he won't have to worry as much about his opponents punches and he can just walk him down like he likes to, or someone needs to shove a caffine pill in his ass lol. He needs to loosen the **** up, get on his toes every now and then and try to burst out some shots in those brief moments.
