A Couple Of Things About Last Night's Fights

    Amir Kahn Destruction

Alright guys, you're going to have to fill me in on why Kahn is so disliked or why a lot of people are happy about his brutal loss. From what I've seen from Kahn, he truly does seem to have world class potential. He's a great boxer with great speed and decent ring intelligence. Now, I just watched the footage. Was this loss really an "exposal"? It looks to me that he lost like Quintana lost to Williams. Maybe he just didn't expect Presscot's hands to be so heavy. Granted, he did get stunned by a grazing left so that def IS suspect. But if there's a rematch, what are the chances that this will occur again?

As far as the hate, whats the source of that. Is this kid arrogant or something? I don't watch the BBC so I don't know this kid's camera persona. Is he a wanna be Mayweather or some ****? Or is it that the British fans here on this site have been hyping Kahn making more enemies than fans for him?

    Juarez's Win Over Barrios

Yes, there was some homecooking in progress and it sucks. One thing I don't want Texas known for is corruption in Boxing, but that KD and torn lip was not caused by Houston, Tx and the ref but Rocky's gloves. Rocky woke up and realized that this was his last chance and did the job he needed to do. It is frustrating to watch Rocky take so long to get going. You feel like screaming at the TV, "LET YOUR ****ING HANDS GO COTDAYUMIT". Its not like this is the first time Rocky has been told that so there has to be some mental hump that prevents him from being more aggressive. Hopefully, this will be resolved by the John fight.

    Diaz over Katsidis

Alright, is Katsidis a ****ing hemophiliac? This guy cuts so easily. There really isn't much to be said about this fight. Juan is a better fighter and boxer than Katsidis. It was weird to hear the advice coming from Katsidis's corner seeing that they were telling him the opposite of what he should have been doing. What fight were they watching? Juan was impressive though. There were no signs that he was mentally affected by his loss to campbell. He was focused and there to win. Watching him circle around throwing combinations is beautiful. Not to many fighters do that. We can talk about how little power he may have, but he sure did stop Katsidis's movement and activity when he threw them combinations. The crowd was awesome too. It felt like it was a PPV fight with the amount of people that were there.

    Anyway, great night of boxing!

    1) don't know why it all this hate on khan....i barely knew the guy till now....but that KO was funny.....

2.) Rocky won on two factor...one was barrios was throwing punches non stop for 10 rounds.....2 the torn lip was a factor...any futher and his lip might had been ****ed up even more

3)i thought the fight was gonna stop because Kat's face was getting ponded on...WTF was he thinking out boxing diaz?? that wasn't going to work...his corner has no common sense......tell your fighter he's loseing...it'll probaly movative him to step it up more.....and diaz was looking impressive out there....i give him my props....glad i didn't bet on this fight

Well people cant really tell you why Khan is hated on so much to be honest, Some would suggest that he mouth off (Cause they asked him about Hatton and Pacman) once in an interview, His rich as well,Young and famous so alot of people with low-self esteem couldnt really take that.

I dont like his promoter though because they guy is a snake just like Bob arum.

If you have VLC Media player, download Khan-Prescott and watch it slowed down. at first I thought that the left was grazing, in slow mo it actually did land well. Around the temple area to take Khans equilibrium away, and then the right hand and left hook both landed perfectly clean. Infact, in slow mo you see that pretty much all of Prescotts shots landed although in normal speed it looks like they didn't.

Also, Watching the fight, I think you can see what lead to Khans downfall.
Look at his old fights, and then the prescott fight. Bredis was the first guy to punch with Khan, when Khan jabbed, prescott jabbed as well. And no one else has done that, it alerted Khan a little and he opened his defense a bit carelessly and took that jab right on the chin which rocked him. Then he paniced and started to lunge a bit, and then was caught. In the past he has been hurt and dropped, but never finished off so hasn't learnt survival techniques. He didn't run, or grab he threw back and got clocked again.

Sorry, didn't mean for it to be that long

Comments like this are why it is so ironic to see you start threads talking about who really knows boxing round here.

He is very famous for over protecting fighters, and not putting them in with genuine threast until late in their careers. Which is why his choice of oppenent for Khan last night was...

                ..odd to say the least.

Just like T-97 said he overprotects his fighter and wouldnt let them fight anyone close to dange....r...ous, He sells them to the public like they are world beaters for example check out Hatton and Calzaghe's careers, They were 26/27/28 and 35-0 before they even step up in competition, He would bring in cab drivers for them to feast on for lesser known belts WBU etc the list is endless.

Agreed, You could see this choice of opponent was out of character for warren and we were all proven right.

There is something very odd, Warren is very smart and careful. I don't see how he would put Khan in with such a dangerous oppennet, especially for his first PPV..

Maybe he was fooled by the resume, but I don't see it.
