Katsidis was Robbed!!!!

I thought Diaz looked great and proved that good technique can and will trump good power. Can't take anything from Katsidis though, he was game the whole way and made a fight out of it. He's a tough guy and will always be fun to watch. Easy to root for him. Diaz just had his number. Anybody who fights Diaz from here on out should adopt the Nate Campbell gameplan though. Sell out on Diaz' body early to slow him down and go from there. Katsidis would have been much more successful had he fought the early portion of the fight like he fought the later portion.

All that being said, I gave Katsidis 3 rounds. One of them was more likely a Diaz round, but Katsidis was very busy and looked better than he did before that.

I actually had Juarez winning more rounds than I suspect others had him winning at the time of the stoppage. Barrios was certainly controlling the fight and I had him ahead without the deductions, but only slightly. With the point deductions I think I had Juarez up by 1 point, or maybe down by only 1 point. There were rounds where Barrios was busy but was missing a lot. Juarez would land several hard, clean shots in between but it would often be overshadowed by Barrios' work rate and the commentators pointing out Rocky's periodic lulls.

That was a disgusting cut. First time in awhile I have seen blood spurting out like that. It looked like "Kill Bill" boxing edition. That couldn't have felt good. Barrios is a beast though, he made that fight entertaining. He brought Juarez out of his shell and forced him to fight. Much respect to him for fighting the way he did and for keeping his cool in the face of bull**** point deductions.

its funny that juan almost got robbed, yet rocky was so protected on the cards. had the biased ref not taken those ridiculous points away from barrios, jorge wouldn't have sat in front of rocky like that throwing non-stop, wide, looping, slow-ass punches with his mouth open trying to knock him out. you're talking about a guy who was clearly winning the fight, yet thought (correctly i might add, which is a travesty) that he needed a knockout to win...

That being said, i have to give rocky his props. he came back and did what he needed to do. he still needs to be way more active though and take more risks, or he may never get that elusive belt.... your thoughts?

Diaz looked great last night, he did everything right. I really didn't think Katsidis would get outboxed so easily. He needs to take a step down in competition.

perhaps katsidis and amir kahn should fight for the right to be in lightweight contention although that may not be to smart for kahn, unless the contract allows for him to wear head armor similar to what katsidis wears upon entering the ring...

juan diaz should get another shot depending on who wins the upcoming fights and who's available. i can't remember him looking better than he did last night....

man i was so dissapointed in kat last night......i thought he'll do better than that......hopefully he'll rethink he stragety and fight better next time

diaz was preforming well last night....out boxing him and taking it to him when they got close.....i'm impress

the undercard.....i swear i thought barrios had that match won....but rocky got his lips....and barrios was gassed from throwing 1009 punches that match and only landing about 16%

The hbo crew was sucking barrios **** the whole fight, Juarez was picking off alot of the punches barrios threw. He blocked alot of them, yet hbo never once gave Juarez credit... The announcers last night were terrible, the only fight they were right on was Diaz, and Katsidis but they were rude little pricks to Katsidis even if Katsidis was outclassed last night the hbo crew should all be fired and replaced. Same with the judges, they need to be fired and replaced too. ****ing ******ed hbo crew flipping out when the ref wanted to stop the fight to cut tape off so it didn't get it juan's eyes... Thats disgusting, hbo crew needs to go **** themselves.

So what we saw last night was ****ty hbo announcers and a ****ty trainer of katsidis.
