Juan Diaz is a p4p fighter...

judging on last nights performance his boxing skills are on the level of being top 10 p4p.. i think he learned alot from his loss to campbell and if the 2 were to fight again Diaz would win a decision.. the combination step to the side combination step to the side boxing circles around katsidis was remarkable.. that jab was crisp and would never stop flowing.. this kid is the truth!

I really don't think that the ability to outbox Michael Katsidis indicates P4P or even particularly outstanding boxing skill. Katsidis is a face first brawler and even better, in last nights fight, one who tried to box. Lets keep some perspective, Diaz won through the virtue of having and using a snappier jab than Katsidis and being marginally more mobile. He's a good infighter with reasonable out game, but lets not forget he was comprehensively outboxed by hitherto relatively unheralded Nate Campbell. Good fighter, yes, P4P material, not likely.

Diaz has better boxing skill than a Margarito and some others who are ranked p4p .. the kid is only 24 years old, and that jab is one of the best in the business.. Nate Campbell is a veteran and if they were to fight again diaz wins
.. 2 yeARS from now you'll see what im talking about.. you gotta be blind to not see them skills .. that 'face first' style is called pressure fighting and if he can beat a pressure fighter that easily wATCH OUT

I don't see Juan Diaz as a future P4P fighter, but if you do that's cool. With his style, he's unlikely to have a long career at the top, and he is in a stacked division which its unlikely he will be able to dominate, and to make the P4P list he'd have to basically be one of the one or two best fighters in there, which will be tough. I'd say there will always be someone else at LW to catch the eye. I also think you overrate his skills a little, but we're all entitled to our opinion.
