the problem when you have a bad chin is

the problem when you have a bad chin is you are much more likely to get tagged or Koed when trying to adapt more cautious aproach especially when you are such an aggresive fighter like Khan whos defence is virtually his offence but in the same token if you dont adopt a new strategy instead of looking for the KO you are definely getting ko'ed again its a bit of a dilemma

also your oponents go looking for you from the opening bell cause they know you cant take it around the whiskers

yeah i agree. he will never beat a top guy most likely. they will headhunt him like it's going out of style. in a way i am glad to see him humbled. he was much to ****y. talking about beating hatton, pac, and the like. laughable.

I think he's going to have to go with the safety first approach now. Maybe a defeat will make him realise that he needs to adapt and cannot carry on the same way.

Does anyone think that as he gets older and becomes a bond fide man (he's 21 and doesn't strike look to me a fully fledged man), his punch resistance may improve, even slightly? Or am I just grasping? It's just that it really did seem like a man against a boy tonight. Even Prescott said pre-fight.

yeah sooner or later the bomb is gonna land

i think another devastating Ko loss could seal the deal for him to jack it in

if i was his father id tell him to squeeze a bit more cash outta my career and then hang em up no disrespect but if your chin is not that stellar you are runnning the risk in a very dangerous sport

New things that trainers introduce to fighters take time to become second nature, Prescott turned out to be a bad first fight for Khan to be with a new trainer.

Khan did the chicken dance against Craig Watson in the amateurs aswell his chin just aint upto it

but the most important thing of all he is not intelligent enough to negate that flaw he has all the attributes except for durability and a good Boxing brain most importantly

Khan will be more vulnerable if he fights more conservative IMO

A lot of fighters were able to come back from 1 round defeats though (not easily of course).

Maybe he won't be a world champion but he could be an exciting contender for the next few years. Too much is put into losses these days in my opinion.

One of the most hilarious 1 round KO losses.

Future ATG Emile Griffith destroyed by "Hurricane" Carter in one round.

Wlad is the bench mark for fighters with shocking chins as far as being successful after set backs. Although I'm not sure I'd like to see Khan grappling and clinching for 12 rounds when he fights in December.
