    Amir Khan, packs the house?

So I'm watching this ppv right now and I am looking around to see that the arena is packed? Brits have less fighters and big events so I get why they can put 60k in the stands or whatever for Calzaghe and hatton. What I dont understand is how Khan can get 30,000 butts in attendance when he still is rather unproven. How come Khan is so popular amongst the people?

He got big exposure after the olympics, then all his fights being shown on free network TV got him more. He is very popular.

Think of De La Hoya after the olympics, he was massively popular. Khan is the same thing.

I thikn they call it "REDICULOUSLY GOOD MANAGEMENT"

He is a very very good talent, but he's so popular because he's been on the right undercards, has olympic exposure, and is a nice guy that has never insulted any of the british boxing heros like Calzaghe or Hatton.

He has been brought along slowly, but perfectly IMO. Couldn't have been done better so far. If they rush him into a Hatton fight now, it would be a bad mistake. He wouldnt reach his maximum popularity if he beats a british hero, and if he loses, same thing

Khan can become a massive star, I have been impressed by him since the 2004 Olympics.

Incredible crowd for a fighter who isn't champion yet.

He is similar to De La Hoya in that way, gained a huge fan base from the olympics

Get your facts straight, son, they all came to see Audley Harrison.
